This section of my webpage contains handouts that have no home elsewhere. Hence the name "Miscellaneous". I did think of calling it "Stuff" but thought that was too descriptive! Until I get enough articles to organize into a category, you'll just have to peruse the links below!

Clicking on the links below will open the articles in a different window. When you have finished reading an article, you can get back to this window simply by closing the window of the article you have read.

This page has a Macintosh keyboard you can download (.pdf format) for printing off to use by students in your classroom. Also an article about keyboarding sent to me from Ian Jukes.

If you are using MacManager as a security system in your lab, you can hand out assignments to your students for them work on individually and then to hand back in to you. This handout shows you how to hand out documents to your class, how students can access them from their log in panels then hand them in for marking, and finally how you would then access these documents for marking. Great way to save on paper.

This is a collection of links I've collected from teachers in the district. If you have a good site you think others would find useful, email me and I'll add it to this page.

Create images that incorporate the styles of selected artists using AppleWorks painting.

Owl's Life is a collection of photos featuring a stuffed owl. These photos can be used to motivate students in creative writing using applications such as iPhoto, Keynote and AppleWorks to name a few.

If you want your student's registered for All the Right Type so that you can monitor their growth, click on the link above for instructions.

Comic Life is a great hook to engage students in the writing process. You can use Comic Life for both the obvious — creating comic stips and books or the not so obvious — silent movies, adding text to photos for slideshows, digital scrapbooking and more.
