Peeled

Another great novel by Joan Bauer is Peeled.  The story begins with the Apple Blossom Queen up-chucking in the cafeteria, and reporter Hildy, deciding if this is actually news that should go into the school newspaper.  The novel follows Hildy and her friends who try to discover the truth behind the sudden tragic events at the Ludlow House, and the possibility that it is truly haunted.  They want to report the truth instead of just scaring people, as the local newspaper, The Bee does.
In fact, is the editor to The Bee mixed up with the people who plan on turning the Ludlow house and the neighbourhood into a theme park?  Strange events and threatening messages are only part of this great novel.
I highly recommend this novel!
