School Planning Councils (SPC) give parents, teachers and principals an advisory process to review school data and to develop and implement school plans aimed at improved student achievement.
Dave Kandal's School Goals
2003-2004
GOAL ONE:
To maintain numeracy scores on the Foundation Skills Assessment (FSAs) to 80% or more, meeting or exceeding expectations at Grade Four (Year 2003 - 94%) through focussing on problem solving.
GOAL TWO:
To maintain reading comprehension scores on the Foundation Skills Assessment (FSAs) to 80% or more, meeting or exceeding expectations at Grade Four (Year 2003 - 86%).
To have 60% of students in Grade One reading at Level 12 on the PM Benchmark assessment scale (Instructional level with good comprehension).
To have 80% of students in Grade Two reading at Level 19 on the PM Benchmark assessment scale (Instructional level with good comprehension).
To have 85% of students in Grade Three reading at Level 23 on the PM Benchmark assessment scale (Instructional level with good comprehension).
